The Mission
At Hymness, we craft leather products with respect – for the material, and for everyone who appreciates timeless, well-made design.
Rooted in our own design language, our mission is simple: to create relevant pieces for everyday work life and the moments in between – at the office, meeting clients, or off-duty.
Leather is our primary material of choice – one we’ve worked with for years and know deeply. Our close relationship with the tannery is part of what makes our process unique – it’s not standard practice, but it’s our way of getting to know our products to the core. We work directly, without unnecessary intermediaries, giving us hands-on access to material and method expertise, and a deep understanding of how every element comes together in the final product.
The leather we use comes from European slaughterhouses as a byproduct of the food industry and is tanned without heavy metals using BioCouro – a more considered choice. Alongside BioCouro, we also use available surplus materials such as leather offcuts and textile deadstock – always selected with intention.
All aligns with our New Nordic mindset: where material quality and simplicity in form come first. Hymness creates practical, tactile products for everyone who loves premium products – and the values behind it.
